The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the United Kingdom (UK) or Britain is a country in Northwestern Europe, off the coast of the continental mainland. It includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The UK includes the island of Great Britain, the north-eastern part of the island of Ireland, and most of the smaller islands within the British Isles. Northern Ireland shares a land border with the Republic of Ireland; otherwise, the United Kingdom is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel, the Celtic Sea, and the Irish Sea. The city of London is the capital; English is the official language; the Sterling Pound is the national currency.

A Standard short-term Visa for six months for tourism, a business visit, short study, visit family & friends, or medical treatment:

1- Passport:

– Passport has to be valid throughout your intended stay in the UK.

– Passport has to have at least one blank page.

– Passport has to be signed before the visa application.

– A photocopy of the biometric page, third page, and all previous visas.

– A photocopy of the previous passports and visas.

2- Application Form & Instructions:  A completed online visa application form printed and signed by the applicant.

3- Biometric Photo:

– One recent biometric photo.

– White background.

– Not digitally modified.

– Don’t staple or glue the photo to the application form.

4- Biometric Data:

–  Biometric data is required.

–  Biometric data is required if you are above 12 years old.

5- Travel Insurance:

– The UK does not require a travel insurance.

6- Accommodation:

– A hotel reservation.

7- Flight: A round-trip flight reservation.

8- Itinerary: Include information and supporting documents about your travel plans and purpose of stay.

9- Proof of Social Roots in Egypt:

– An official copy of the family register if married or single registry if not married.

– If the applicant is a widow, an official copy of the death certificate of the husband / wife.

10- Proof of Economic Roots in Egypt:

– Official letter from the current employer indicating the applicant’s name, position, salary, date of employment, social insurance number, dates of travel, company address, telephone numbers, email, name and title of the signatory.

– For business owners: Attach a copy of a valid commercial register, a valid tax card, and an official stamped bank statement of the company.

– For students: Attach a valid school certificate or proof of university graduation.

–  An official bank statement covering the last six months (current or savings account) or a proof of ownership of assets.

11- Minors: If a minor is travelling alone, a certified parental approval and photocopies of parents’ passports and the minor’s birth certificate.

12- Translation of Documents: Any documents issued in Arabic have to be translated to English.

13- Personal Interview: No

14- Processing Time: 15 working days.

15- Visa Fees: 140 GBP (paid in Egyptian Pounds according to the exchange rate on the application day) and includes the handling fees of Ta2shira.com, excluding any extra services or translation of documents. In addition to appointment booking fee at TLS Contact that starts from 2000 EGP.
