Paraguay Visa

The Republic of Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America. Bordered by Argentina to the south and southwest, Brazil to the east and northeast, and Bolivia to the northwest. The city of Asunción is the capital and largest city; Spanish and Guarani are the official languages; the Paraguayan Guaraní  is the national currency.

1- Passport:

– Passport has to be valid for at least two years after the expiry of the requested visa.

– Passport has to have at least two blank pages.

– Passport has to be signed before the visa application.

– A photocopy of the biometric page, third page, and all previous visas.

– A photocopy of the previous passports and visas.

– A Certificate of Movements issued by the Egyptian Immigration & Passports Authority and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– A photocopy of the national ID.

– A recent criminal record certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– A birth certificate certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2- Application Form & Instructions:  A completed visa application form printed and signed by the applicant at the embassy.

3- Biometric Photo:

– Two recent biometric photos 5×5 cm.

– White background.

– Not digitally modified.

– Don’t staple or glue the photo to the application form.

4- Travel Insurance:

–  A medical certificate from a public hospital certifying that the visa applicant is free from any physical or psychological diseases. The certificate has to be certified by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– A valid travel insurance.

– If you hold a travel insurance sticker on your passport, print it from here before the visa application date.

5- Accommodation:

– A confirmed hotel reservation with exact arrival and departure dates.

6- Flight: A round-trip flight reservation.

7- Itinerary: Include information about your travel plans and purpose of stay.

8- Proof of Social Roots in Egypt:

– An official copy of the family register if married or single registry if not married.

– If the applicant is a widow, an official copy of the death certificate of the husband / wife.

9- Proof of Economic Roots in Egypt:

– Official letter from the current employer indicating the applicant’s name, position, salary, date of employment, social insurance number, dates of travel, company address, telephone numbers, email, name and title of the signatory.

– For business owners: Attach a copy of a valid commercial register, a valid tax card, and an official stamped bank statement of the company.

– For students: Attach a valid school certificate or proof of university graduation.

–  An official bank statement covering the last three years (current or savings account) or a proof of ownership of assets.

10- Minors: If a minor is travelling alone, a certified parental approval and photocopies of parents’ passports and the minor’s birth certificate.

11- Translation of Documents: Any documents issued in Arabic have to be translated to Spanish.

12- Personal Interview: Yes.

13- Processing Time: At least 03 weeks.

14- Visa Fees: 95 USD (single entry) – 130 USD (multiple entry).

– Submit an invitation letter addressed to the Director of Passports and Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay (photocopy of the stamp received from the Passport Department must be attached) and another to the Head of Mission of the Embassy of Paraguay in Egypt.

– Documents required from the inviting company in Paraguay:

  • Authenticated copy of the ID the signer of the note.
  • Authenticated copy of the Memorandum of Association of the Company.
  • Authenticated copy of the RUC.
  • Certified copy of the Certificate of Tax Compliance.
  • Copies of receipts for tax paid in the last six months by the Company inviting.
  • Copying of the IPS Invoice Payment of the Company employees.
  • Copy of the Bill of Electricity of the inviting company.
  • If the applicant is technician or representative of a company that provide services or hold meetings with their counterparts in the country, the company must file the Job Certificate by the inviting Company where it serves the foreign guest, translated into Spanish.
