The Republic of Maldives, and historically known as the Maldive Islands, is a country and archipelagic state in South Asia in the Indian Ocean. The Maldives is southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 750 Km from the Asian continent’s mainland. The city of Malé is the capital; Dhivehi is the official language; the Maldivian Rufiyaa is the national currency.
The Republic of Maldives allows Egyptian passport holders to get an entry visa on arrival only if they
– Hold a valid passport for at least one month.
– Have a confirmed return air ticket.
– Have a confirmed prepaid hotel reservation.
– Can prove the financial ability to cover accommodation and living costs in Maldives.
– Have an electronic Maldives Travel Authorization form filled out four days (96 hours) prior to the arrival to Maldives.
Visa validity: 30 days – single entry.
Stay period: 30 days.
Visa fees: free of charge.
