Libya Visa

The State of Libya is an Arab country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. It borders the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad to the south, Niger to the southwest, Algeria to the west, and Tunisia to the northwest. The city of Tripoli is the capital and largest city; Arabic is the official language; and the Libyan Dinar is the national currency.

 

The State of Libya allows Egyptian passport holders to get an entry visa on arrival if they

 

– Hold a valid passport for at least six months.

– Passport has at least one blank page.

– Age less than 18 years old or above 45 years old for men.

 

Visa Validity: 30 days – single entry.

Stay Period: 30 days.

Visa Fees: 205 USD.

 

  • Egyptian travelers to Libya between 18 – 45 years old without a profession in passport must get a security approval from the Egyptian Immigration Authority two weeks before the travel date.

1- Passport:

– Passport has to be valid for at least six months after the expiry of the requested visa.

– Passport has to have at least one blank page.

– Passport has to be signed before the visa application.

– A photocopy of the biometric page, third page, and all previous visas.

2- Application Form & Instructions:  A completed visa application form printed and signed by the applicant.

3- Biometric Photo:

– One recent biometric photo.

– White background.

– Not digitally modified.

– Don’t staple or glue the photo to the application form.

4- Travel Insurance:

– A valid travel insurance.

– If you hold a travel insurance sticker on your passport, print it from here before the visa application date.

5- Accommodation:

– A confirmed hotel reservation.

6- Flight: A round-trip flight reservation.

7- Itinerary: Include information about your travel plans and purpose of stay.

8- Proof of Economic Roots in Egypt:

– Official letter from the current employer indicating the applicant’s name, position, salary, date of employment, social insurance number, dates of travel, company address, telephone numbers, email, name and title of the signatory.

– For business owners: Attach a copy of a valid commercial register, a valid tax card, and an official stamped bank statement of the company.

– For students: Attach a valid school certificate or proof of university graduation.

–  An official bank statement covering the last three months (current or savings account) or a proof of ownership of assets.

9- Minors: If a minor is travelling alone, a certified parental approval and photocopies of parents’ passports and the minor’s birth certificate.

10- Personal Interview: No

11- Processing Time: 15 working days.

12- Visa Fees: 95 USD (single entry) – 235 USD (multiple entry).

–  An official invitation letter from a Libyan company on its letter head, signed and stamped and includes the company contact details, type of business, name and title of the signatory. The letter has to clarify who is covering the applicant’s travel costs.
