The State of Kuwait is an Arab country in West Asia. It is situated in the northern edge of the Arabian Peninsula at the head of the Arab Gulf, bordering Iraq to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south. Kuwait also shares a maritime border with Iran, across the Arab Gulf. The city of Kuwait is the capital; Arabic is the official language; the Kuwaiti Dinar is the national currency.
