The Dominican Republic is a North American country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean Sea in the North Atlantic Ocean. It shares a maritime border with Puerto Rico to the east and a land border with Haiti to the west. In the Antilles, the country is the second-largest nation by area after Cuba. The Dominican Republic allows Egyptian passport holders to get an entry visa on arrival only if they
– Hold a valid passport for at least six months.
– Have a confirmed return air ticket.
– Have a proof of accommodation in the Dominican Republic.
– Have a valid entry visa to USA, Canada, UK, or Schengen.
– Can prove the financial ability to cover the accommodation and living expenses during your stay in the Dominican Republic.
– Fill out the electronic ticket data before arriving to the Dominican Republic.
Visa Fees: 100 USD (single entry) – 150 USD (multiple entry).
1- Passport:
– Passport has to be valid for at least six months after the expiry of the requested visa.
– Passport has to have at least two blank pages.
– Passport has to be signed before the visa application.
– A photocopy of the biometric page, third page, and all previous visas (Schengen, USA, UK, or Canada).
– A criminal record issued in less than 12 months from the visa application date.
2- Application Form & Instructions: A completed visa application form printed and signed by the applicant.
3- Biometric Photo:
– One recent biometric photo.
– White background.
– Not digitally modified.
– Don’t staple or glue the photo to the application form.
4- Accommodation:
– A confirmed hotel reservation.
– An official certified letter of invitation from the Dominican Republic.
5- Flight: A round-trip flight reservation.
6- Itinerary: Include information about your travel plans and purpose of stay.
7- Proof of Economic Roots in Egypt:
– Official letter from the current employer indicating the applicant’s name, position, salary, date of employment, social insurance number, dates of travel, company address, telephone numbers, email, name and title of the signatory.
– For business owners: Attach a copy of a valid commercial register, a valid tax card, and an official stamped bank statement of the company.
– For students: Attach a valid school certificate or proof of university graduation.
– An official bank statement covering the last six months (current or savings account) or a proof of ownership of assets.
8- Minors: If a minor is travelling alone, a certified parental approval and photocopies of parents’ passports and the minor’s birth certificate.
9- Translation of Documents: Any documents issued in Arabic have to be translated to English or Spanish.
