Austria Visa

The Republic of Austria is a landlocked country in Central Europe, lying in the Eastern Alps. 1- Passport:

– Passport has to be valid for at least three months after the expiry of the requested visa.

– Passport has to have at least two blank pages.

– Passport has to be signed before the visa application.

– A photocopy of the biometric page, third page, and all previous visas.

– A photocopy of the previous passports and visas.

–  For first time travelers, above 16 years old, a Certificate of Movements issued by the Egyptian Immigration & passports Authority.

– If the passport was previously lost, a copy of the police report and a Certificate of Movements.

2- Application Form & Instructions:  A completed visa application form signed by the applicant.

3- Biometric Photo:

– Two recent biometric photos.

– White background.

– Not digitally modified.

– Don’t staple or glue the photo to the application form.

4- Biometric Data:

–  Biometric data is not required if already taken in the last four years by any other European Union country.

–  Biometric data is required if you are above 12 years old.

5- Travel Insurance:

– A valid travel insurance for the all the Schengen countries.

–  The minimum coverage of the insurance policy is 30000 Euros.

– The insurance policy shouldn’t have any restrictions or exclusions of treatments.

– If you hold a travel insurance sticker on your passport, print it from here before the visa application date.

6- Accommodation:

– A confirmed hotel reservation.

7- Flight: A round-trip flight reservation.

8- Itinerary: Include information about your travel plans and purpose of stay.

9- Proof of Social Roots in Egypt:

– An official copy of the family register if married or single registry if not married.

– If the applicant is a widow, an official copy of the death certificate of the husband / wife.

10- Proof of Economic Roots in Egypt:

– Official letter from the current employer indicating the applicant’s name, position, salary, date of employment, social insurance number, dates of travel, company address, telephone numbers, email, name and title of the signatory.

– For business owners: Attach a copy of a valid commercial register, a valid tax card, and an official stamped bank statement of the company.

– For students: Attach a valid school certificate or proof of university graduation.

–  An official bank statement covering the last six months (current or savings account) or a proof of ownership of assets.

11- Minors: If a minor is travelling alone, a certified parental approval and photocopies of parents’ passports and the minor’s birth certificate.

12- Translation of Documents: Any documents issued in Arabic have to be translated to English or German.

13- Personal Interview: No

15- Visa Fees: 90 Euros (Adults) – 45 Euros (06-12 years old) and free of charge for children up to 06 years old (paid in Egyptian Pounds according to the exchange rate on the application day) + 3100 EGP application handling fees of VFS.Global according to the instructions of the Austrian embassy.
